Peter-Jon Cowe, known as PJ, is a key member of our team at Nicol of Skene, where he serves as the Chief Operations Officer. He joined our ranks on November 14, 2022, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to driving our company forward.
PJ's journey in the energy sector has been nothing short of remarkable. His career began in the fishing industry after leaving school but soon transitioned into engineering through an apprenticeship at Score Group in Peterhead. Over the course of six years, PJ honed his skills in engineering practices, including valves, turbines, machining, and sales processes. He also gained hands-on experience in various oil production and drilling installations across the UK and Norwegian sectors.
With fifteen years of professional experience spanning diverse energy sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, LNG, Chemical, Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, and Utilities, PJ brings a wealth of knowledge to his role at Nicol of Skene. His extensive career includes nine years of global business management, with assignments in the UK, Norway, Trinidad & Tobago, Australia, and Denmark.
In his current capacity as Chief Operations Officer, PJ plays a pivotal role in Nicol of Skene's success. He oversees a wide range of functions, including financial management, operational excellence, strategic marketing, and talent development. PJ's vision and dedication align seamlessly with our commitment to future-proofing and growing our business.
Beyond his strong work ethic, PJ is passionate about enjoying life outside the office. His leisure pursuits include traveling, playing golf, skiing, and spending cherished moments with his family.
