Apprentice General Site Operative – Civils

We are looking to recruita motivated Apprentice Civil Operative to join our growing civils team.This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while workingtowards a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification in Construction &Civil Engineering Operations.

You will work alongsideexperienced operatives on a variety of civil engineering projects, learning theskills required for a long-term career in the industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Under supervision, you will learn to:

  • Assist with groundworks, drainage, kerbing and concreting works
  • Use hand tools, power tools and small plant safely
  • Prepare sites, materials and work areas
  • Follow drawings, specifications and instructions
  • Work safely at all times, complying with health & safety requirements
  • Maintain a tidy and safe working environment
  • Attend college/training sessions as part of your apprenticeship

REQUIREMENTS
  • A genuine interest in groundworks and civil engineering
  • Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Basic maths and English skills
  • Commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme
  • No previous experience is required as full training will be provided
