We are looking to recruit a motivated Apprentice Drilling Operative to join our growing Drilling team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience backed up with industry recognised training.
You will work alongside experienced operatives on a variety of projects, learning the skills required for a long-term career in the industry,whilst working in some of the most unique and challenging locations across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
Under supervision, you will learn to:
- Receive on-the-job training alongside highly experienced drilling operatives
- Learn how to mix, manage, and recycle bentonite mud fluid
- Gain hands-on experience in operating plant and machinery, including some of the most advanced HDD equipment in the industry
- Use hand tools, power tools and small plant safely
- Prepare sites, materials and maintain a tidy and safe working environment
- Work safely at all times, complying with health& safety requirements and follow instruction from experienced team members
- Attend and actively participate in training sessions as part of the apprenticeship programme
What We’re Looking For:
- An interest in practical, outdoor work and learning specialist skills in drilling and civil engineering
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Basic maths and English skills
- Commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme
In line with working time regulations, applicants must be18 years of age or over. Please also note that this role involves frequent workaway from home, so flexibility and willingness to travel are essential.
