We are delighted to announce the arrival of 5 additional ZOLL AED defibrillators, bringing our total to 10 units now in place across our sites.
Staff safety has always been a top priority for our business, and these mobile defibrillators ensure lifesaving equipment can be accessed within minutes, something that can make all the difference in an emergency. A huge thank you to SMG Safety for supplying these new devices.
With the NHS under continued pressure and ambulance response times increasing, having defibrillators on site is more essential than ever. Each year, there are over 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the UK, and survival rates remain below 10% without immediate intervention. Early defibrillation, delivered within minutes of collapse, can significantly improve the chances of survival.
We also actively encourage all employees to remain vigilant and to follow our health and safety protocols. We are extremely proud that 50%of our workforce is now trained in first aid at work, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to protecting and supporting our people.
